I don't think it's all that uncommon to hear about individuals doing extraordinary things in our society. The nightly news always likes a feel-good story at the end of their program to give their viewers a little hope that humanity isn't as bad as the first 29 minutes of the program made it out to be.

I think I've started writing and then deleted this blog and started over at least 10 times. I'm  honestly just not sure what to think at this point, let alone write in any sort of coherent thought. The clearest thought I have right now that I can articulate is that I know this is going to be an uncomfortable summer. And much of it's value will be determined by how well and how long I can stay in that uncomfortable state. It's difficult for me to see how I could become comfortable living in a neighborhood I'm unfamiliar with, where I'm the outsider, and I'm teaching kids how to build picnic tables and run a business when the last woodworking project I did was in Elementary school for cubscouts.
