Percy grew up in Spivey's Corner, North Carolina where he was surrounded by his family and community. He ended up staying in North Carolina and attending Duke University in Durham, NC. It was here that three life-changing things happened. One, he got involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, an inter-denominational Christian community on the college campus. Two, Percy started working with Agape Corner, a Christian Boarding School for inner-city children through tutoring and mentoring. Three, he met his lovely wife Angie. After college, Percy conducted biomedical research relating to Tuberculosis while also part-time teaching science and math at Agape Corner Boarding School. Eventually, he decided to clarify his calling by attending a year of classes at Duke Divinity School. It worked, and in 1999, Percy went on staff with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and married Angie.

Listwella Donaldson - Finance Director
I was born and raised in the “City of Brotherly Love”, Philadelphia, PA. As the oldest of six children, it is my belief that because I was the first born and a girl, my father named me Listwella, which is the female version of his name, Listwell. If you were wondering, the meaning of my name is “oath of God” and it is Hebrew.
While growing up in the Martin Luther King Housing Projects, life was challenging for my family and I. As a means of escape, I clung to the church as a drowning person might cling to a floating piece of wood in a raging river. It was my life jacket in the storm, a place where I found hope and the love of Christ. Eventually, at the age of twelve, I committed my life to Christ.
Taylor Winters - Director of Communications and Special Events
Native to North Carolina, Taylor Winters grew up in Henderson, what she claims to be a “small town.” While the area of the county is large, the feel of Henderson is defiantly that of a small town. With old tobacco fields, abandoned factories, railroad tracks that still divide the town, the idea of racial division that still plagues the United States was not a new issue to Taylor. Attending public school from K-12th grades, Taylor was exposed to the good and the bad of a small town, the changing economy, and the pressing issues of the public school system.
Adam Burgess - Service Project Coordinator
Adam was born and raised Hickory N.C. where he lived up his youth on the soccer field, golf course, or on the slopes of the Appalachian Mountains. He has always had a great love for the outdoors and sharing that love with others. Aside from Adam’s extra curricular activities with sports and recreation, you would find him in church on Sunday mornings. Adam has always been drawn to the Lord and very passionate about witnessing God’s work in his life. After graduating from Appalachian State University in 2004 and being an active member in Lutheran Students of Appalachian (LSA), he knew that what ever profession he worked in would have to support his faith.
